MMA - Mixed Martial Arts - is a modern martial art where 2 fighters try to win over each other, using a variety of martial arts techniques from different martial arts, hence the name Mixed Martial Arts. The sport is exceptionally effective both on and off the mat, as it combines the best techniques of a wide variety of long developed styles.



MMA is an independent sport where different fighting techniques are selected, adapted and optimized for the rules that are being fought under. The philosophy behind MMA is to find the ultimate fighting athlete within a set of rules that enforces the safety of the fighters, without hampering the free variety and range of the fighters.


MMA is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and several of the major MMA matches draw millions of viewers, often via pay-per-view. MMA fights typically take place in a cage or “octagon”, which ensures that the fighters don’t fall through the ropes and off the mat.
