WELCOME TO KIDS BJJ SCHOOL
WHY SHOULD KIDS LEARN JIU-JITSU?
Studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most technically advanced styles of self-defense, which helps promote brain and body coordination in both children and adults. Those who train BJJ generally experience a greater self-confidence and become more balanced in their daily lives and in the company of others.
It provides a huge benefit to children who study BJJ allowing them to tumble with each other in a controlled and safe environment. The trainers provide guidance and leads by example to promote respect and understanding for each other, which is an important element in all martial arts practices for children.
Here, as a parent, you have the opportunity to make a big difference in your child's life and help your child, by strengthening their character and social skills. Martial arts is so much more than most people think. At Fight Nation, Hua Hin, we believe that Martial arts and self-defense is mostly about self-development and not just about learning to defend oneself.
PRINCIPLES OF OUR JIU-JITSU SCHOOL
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The training is focused around grips and techniques that helps kids and teenagers gain a better understanding of motor skills and how their body works in general, besides learning increasingly advanced grips and locks, there will also be supervised sparing where the kids learn to wrestle while paying attention to theirs partners technical level and physical ability. Finally, there is stretching, feedback and at times mediation.
The training takes place in a suit called a gi. You also have a belt around the waist, which keeps the upper part together. Under the suit, the children wear either a t-shirt or a rash guard underneath. Some also choose to wear a pair of tight-fitting shorts under the pants. To learn more about the equipment you can give us a call on the number at the bottom of the page or visit our shop just off soi 94 in Hua Hin.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Fight Nation is about self-development, where each individual student must find his or her own way. Through hard work and through play, each student will learn to be more calm in stressed and pressured situations. We have put together a program where we use different theories and concepts from various organizations and martial arts.
Each student can expect to get new friendships, better discipline, improved self-esteem and self-confidence, better manners, increased concentration and better willpower. All this is achieved through sports and self-defense and through hard work.
