WHAT IS MENS STREET DEFENSE JIU-JITSU?

At Fight Nation, we offer MMA classes that are perfect for anyone looking to learn self defense in a dangerous world. While many people think that MMA is only for professional fighters, the truth is that it's the perfect class for real life defense scenarios. Our MMA classes bring together BJJ, western boxing, and muay thai into a strategic and logical form of real fighting. Our top MMA coaches have a high track record of training great fighters, ensuring that you're in good hands when it comes to your training. But our MMA classes aren't just for those looking to learn self defense. We offer training for all levels, so whether you're a beginner or an experienced fighter, we've got you covered.

Our classes are designed to be highly effective in real life situations. After just a short time of regular attendance, you'll learn self-defense that really works, even if you have never practiced martial arts or feel out of shape. You'll learn how to avoid dangerous situations, de-escalate confrontations, set boundaries, and fight when everything else has failed. Our training is mostly physical, with gradually more and more physical contact and resistance to make it more realistic. The training is conducted under very controlled conditions so that everyone can participate.

 

We alternate between theory and practice to keep things interesting and give you a break from the physical training while you learn some theory.

At Fight Nation, our MMA classes are about more than just self-defense. You'll learn new things about yourself and find your inner tiger. And after the course, you'll feel safer and probably have a slightly more straight back and may even have lost a few pounds (because you will get a solid workout). During these classes, you will quickly get some really effective tools for dealing with discomforting and violent situations. While the main training time for street defense is Wednesday night, all no-gi BJJ adult classes are based around effective street defense techniques. This is a unique class where we work exclusively with the physical and mental challenges that men have in physical confrontations. You get some really effective tools to deal with threatening and dangerous behavior.
